Visited Zeffirelli’s for an evening meal/cinema deal. We were unaware before our arrival that this restaurant is vegetarian only and from discussions with other folk locally, it appears that many have arrived not knowing this. It seems something that the restaurant do not make well known, maybe in fear of people not coming for that reason. Truth be told, while it is vegetarian, the food is very good and reasonably priced. The look of the restaurant is very good, but the white marble tables do not show well the cleanliness of the tables, and we found had food deposits encrusted on ours but not visible, just felt on the table. More attention to picking these issues up by feel rather that visually would be one digestion to the restaurant. The garlic mushrooms as a starter were very nice and the ravioli was delicious. The Wellington was also very tasty, but as a meat eater how I missed the texture. The texture of this Wellington (to be expected of a glorified nut roast), was very much of fine mince. Service was excellent. A comprehensive wine list made selection of the right wine, easy. We may revisit, but there are other places in Ambleside which suit us better.

A vegetarian restaurant of the highest quality makes eating with vegetarians and vegans a delight and easy and it's fantastic food means that you don't miss the meat on the menu! Now even better than before on our most recent visit the mains were very good however the deserts were just outstanding!

Been coming to Ambleside for over 25 years and went in for the first time to watch a film. Had a good look round whilst in there and cannot believe I haven’t been in before. I am not vegetarian but the food looked excellent, lovely room upstairs where they do live music nights apparently and then a spot on cinema with really comfortable seats. Excellent bar too with two really friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely call back to watch a film again and wouldn’t mind trying the live music nights either.

My wife is vegan, and through that I have come to enjoy a lot of vegan and vegetarian foods. Zeffirelli's is a vegetarian, Italian restaurant with many vegan options. The food and service is always brilliant. I had pizza this time, as did the children and my wife had a pasta dish. Would really recommend, especially the pizza :)

Wow what a meal absolutely the best vegetarian restaurant I've ever been to. Also they own the cinema in town and you can do a movie meal combo to eat before or after your chosen film. Keep up the excellent work guys
