The first treatment will last approximately 1 ½ hours and will include a full consultation where I will ask you questions about your dogs medical history, their activities of daily living, their diet and supplement regime and of course what you consider to be your dogs’ main area of concern… Because Canine massage positively influences all 11 of the systems in your dog’s body it can have a profound effect on your dogs’ general health and well-being. Probably of most importance is its impact on their musculoskeletal, lymphatic and circulatory systems as massage of the body provides direct contact to these systems… Your dog has over 700 muscles that generally do not get assessed for injury on a regular basis. There is a lot that can go wrong within this system, and it is not just muscles that can be affected but also other soft tissue structures including the Connective tissue or Fascia within the body… Orthopaedic complaints in dogs are sadly quite common and cover a wide range of conditions. If your dog is diagnosed with an orthopaedic condition your vet will talk you through the options available. These will include rehabilitation or maintenance processes of which massage can form a very important part…
