The same family has run Yorke Lodge for nearly 20 years offering guests high quality, comfortable accommodation and a home-cooked breakfast made from locally sourced produce.
Whether you are travelling for business or pleasure at Yorke Lodge Bed and Breakfast we continuously strive to improve our services to provide every visitor with a memorable stay. Built in 1887 this quintessential Victorian Villa is ideally located just outside Canterbury City Centre and is close to Kent University, Kings School, St Edmunds School and Kent College.

Adeline Chew5 StarWell-furnished, clean, spotless lodge with heating and complimentary tea/coffee in the room. It is only a short 10-15 min walk to the town centre where the amazing Canterbury Cathedral is. Parking is available on site, though limited. Yorke Lodge won our hearts with home-cooked full English breakfast every morning. Would definitely stay here again if we are in Canterbury. Thank you for having us!Monday 12th December 2022
X C5 StarSpotlessly clean little b&b. The breakfast is simple but homely and tasty — when was the last time I was woken up by the wafting aroma of sizzling bacons? The owners are super friendly. I am feeling as if I am staying with some close relatives.
The cookies and books in the rooms are such a delight. The shower has strong water pressure, and the bedding is thick and comforting. I also adore the stained stained glass windows and the sunlit breakfast room, and the resident puppy!
(I don’t have pets with me but I really appreciate the veterinary hospital info page in the guest room handbook.)
It’s about 10-15 min walk from the train station and old city centre, quiet but convenient. I would consider bringing my family back here if I come back to Canterbury.Wednesday 8th February 2023
C Lim5 StarAmazingly well kept place, homely and cosy. Breakfast was simply the best. There is a free flow fruit and juices and cereal buffet, coffee and tea are served. Breakfast from the kitchen freshly made to order. The bacon on the grill had us scurrying down from the rooms to have breakfast! Is a short walk from the town, pleasant walk and quiet street. Would recommend anyone to stay there when visiting Canterbury!Monday 12th December 2022
Omar Qureshi5 StarYorke Lodge is a fantastic place to stay in Canterbury. Within walking distance of the city centre, it offers everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. There are a variety of rooms to choose from, all of which are spacious and well-appointed. They come equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including TV, WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Breakfast is served in a bright and airy area overlooking a nicely landscaped garden.
The most memorable part for us, however, was the warm welcome and individualised service provided by Vicky and her staff. It was this aspect that set the hotel apart from a nondescript chain hotel for my family.
If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Canterbury, then Yorke Lodge should definitely be at the top of your list.Sunday 30th October 2022
