Welcome to Woodlands
Woodlands is situated in a small gently sloping valley on the edge of the Mendip Hills in Somerset close to the historic City of Wells (Britain’s smallest City).
Surrounded by open countryside and enjoying superb views, we are close to the amenities offered by the City of Wells and the Towns of Glastonbury, Cheddar and Shepton Mallet, which makes our site the perfect base from which to tour beautiful Somerset.
There are many World famous attractions within easy reach, Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury Tor, Glastonbury Abbey and Wells Cathedral to name but a few.
A little further away, there are the coastal towns of Weston-Super-Mare, Burnham-On-Sea and Clevedon offering all the fun of the seaside for those who like a bit of a paddle.
For country lovers there are many walks and quiet country lanes to explore. With rugged footpaths and fantastic views from the top of the Mendip Hills to the lower flat ground of the Somerset levels, you will be spoilt for choice as to what to see next.

Chris French5 StarFantastic Caravan and Motorhome Club certified location. Situated just outside of Wells, Somerset. Visited during pandemic so shower / toilet facilities closed in line with restrictions. Sheltered Elsan point. Good bins recycling area. Good hard standing level pitches despite field being sloping. We had no trouble. No levelling blocks were required. Each pitch has electric hook up and owners quite happy for our grey waste water to drain into hedge using a grey waste hose. Nice open field with well kept grass and young trees. Couple of picnic benches. An absolute joy to stay there for the week. Family running it are such nice people. Always makes a stay more pleasurable. There’s 2 lodge / log like cabins that you can hire separately from CAMC but this doesn’t change my thoughts on staying there as the site is such a good size and well spread out. Tall hedge row right round perimeter of site making it feel nice and secure and private. CCTV at entrance for extra security but not invasive in any way. Wifi is available but we struggled in bottom corner of site. Others we spoke to further up site had no problems. Easy access to site with nice big sign with name on from Cheddar direction. If coming from Wells direction look for flag on pole at entrance. Can’t wait to visit again. A credit to the lovely owners. Well done 👍Monday 3rd May 2021

Kathy & Joe are the friendliest hosts, from offering blocks to level our campervan to lending us a walking stick for the brambles on our short walk to the pub they were the perfect hosts.The facilities are incredibly clean and all that you'll need. Highlights from our stay include meeting Mabel the cat & the breathtaking view of the Mendips from the site.Monday 12th September 2022
