My father James Riches was transferred here unexpectedly 20th October 2021,two days earlier than his expected day, you wasn't prepared for his arrival from Butterfly Hospice, but you soon rallied round and your wonderful team soon got him comfortable in a room. My father was dying of cancer, your team made him comfortable, made sure he was kept clean shaven and washed and tended to his and our every need. Dad took to his bed that afternoon and never left it again, 4 days later on Sunday 24th October he passed away, peacefully with the comfort of your wonderful staff and nurses around him. My only regret is that myself, his daughter didn't get back in time to see him before he was taken away due to living in Nottingham. Myself and my family would like to thank all the staff for your kindness, understanding and professional bedside manner during my father's short term at Willoughby Grange. Now it is time to do the hardest thing in our lives, and that is to say our final goodbyes at Boston Crematorium on Tuesday 16th November 2021.
