Had lunch here with my parents lovely comfortable pub & very clean. Staff were all very friendly. Choice of Real Ales & Wines were very good. The Ale I had had obviously been kept very well. The menu was nicely varied. I can highly recommend the Fish & Chips as they were excellent. The definite highlight of a very enjoyable trip to Halesworth. I can't wait to make a return visit!

Lovely old pub inside and out, great decor and ambience, with an amazing menu that had tons of variety and all tasted amazing! But beware the chilli chicken kebab, it is very spicy and not for the feint hearted, tasted incredible though!

We went here for my wife's birthday while we were on holiday in the area. The staff were very friendly and polite so that was excellent. The food was decent but not great. It was average pub food standard. I had the soup (parsnip) to start which was nice and tasted homemade. For main I had the pie (chicken and mushroom) with seasonal vegetables. The pie was very dry and the vegetables were a little tasteless. Also the gravy was beef which seemed odd with a chicken pie? For dessert, I had the sticky toffee pudding which took a while to arrive (but to be fair it was getting busy at this point) it tasted lovely but you could tell it had been sat for a while. To go with the meal I had a pint of Ghost Ship which was excellent and you could tell it was well kept. Don't get me wrong, we had a lovely evening and I don't want to sound too negative, but I wasn't wow'd by any of it.

One of the best roast dinners I've ever had, if not the best. Quaint little pub in the heart of Halesworth. Everything was cooked to perfection and the gravy, wow, the gravy was amazing. Asked what was in it and apparently it's the chef's secret recipe.

Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff and the food was delicious. The curry was cooked fresh. Varied kids menu for £6.50 for main and side. We'll definitely be returning.
