Stayed here for 1 night with my wife mid October. The hotel has a great location and free parking. It's close to all local places including Clark's Village. The hotel has free WiFi with a good signal throughout. We were in 212 which I think was one of the furthest away from reception. The room was very spacious. Lighting could have been better also there were no sockets near the table and mirrors which made it difficult for my wife to get ready. The room was warm despite the heating being off. The TV in the room was a big smart LG which was great. The window was big and opened all the way which was good however there are houses overlooking the room and I feel blinds or nets would be handy. We found the bed slightly on the hard side but everyone has their own preference. We paid £81 for our room which included breakfast which as you can see was lovely. Also came with cereal and juice. Overall I would recommend and if we came back, wouldn't hesitate to come back.

My wife and I together with two of our pals were at the Wessex over the new year attending a dancing weekend arranged by Eden Nights. Absolutely fantastic. Although our room was a bit tired, it was very clean and comfortable. The food was very good, staff very friendly and helpful. Hopefully we'll be able to revisit. Peter and Laura B 😀

Be aware when you are a guest here, if you arrive in the dark and with raging rain and fail to see signs for inputting your number plate somewhere? You will receive £100 fine and the Hotel doesn't want to know about helping you, surely they have instructed this firm to fine people who parks up and go shopping. I was never made aware by the hotel staff that I needed to register my number plate at reception perhaps? Don't know!! James was really unhelpful and I'm left with the distress of appealing for a £100 fine while I was at a party at the Hotel!! Needles to say I will never step a foot in there again!!

Well located with a tasty cooked breakfast, no croissants or pastries though, rooms very tired with broken furniture, ripped wallpaper, unfinished, dangerous old dirty windows that open fully, was the only hotel with availability for my dates, towels so old and worn they need to be thrown away. I stayed 4 nights and my bed was never made nor bathroom cleaned, just more towels and teabags left, not worth the money.

Very tired room with only one bedside table, a TV with poor reception, drafty windows, and a bathroom without an extractor? Hard working staff but won't stay again.
