I have been to Warhammer Carlisle a few times now to buy new models or pick up online orders. Every time I've entered the store I'm greeted by Knowledgeable and friendly staff who can point you in the direction you want whether you are just starting the hobby or are a long time player. I would highly recommend to visit the store if you are looking to start a new army or get into the hobby.

Carlisle is my favourite warhammer shop to go to as you are always met with a smile and they will always help in every way they can. My fiancée has just recently got into the game of warhammer 40k so needs to be shown the insane world but Adam has been doing an amazing job in showing her how to learn the rules and have fun with it. Louis has been showing me how to do some awesome painting techniques which in time will make me a better painter.

Loved coming in and meeting Adam, probably the loveliest Games Workshop employee I've ever met. Great range of stock but more than that was the friendly and generous service. While I was in there, a young boy and his mum came in asking to learn a bit about how to play. Adam taught this kid the basics and you could see the boy's eyes were totally lit up and he was entranced. It was so wonderful to see this kid fall in love with the hobby in a matter of 15 minutes. Can't recommend this store enough.

I've been into the Carlisle Warhammer store a couple of times over the last few months and I've been impressed everytime. Obviously the shop stocks a wide variety of Games Workshop products all priced at the RRP. It also has the standard painting table and gaming tables for people to paint their miniatures or learn about the games. So far pretty standard for any GW store I've ever been in. Where I've been most impressed is the quality of the staff. Everytime I've been in they're been friendly and approachable without being pushy. They've engaged me in taking about my collections even though my armies are no longer in production and the entire setting I collect was destroyed some years back. More importantly they've been great with the boys (9 and 6) and my wife (who has no interest in wargaming). My wife finds the staff to be helpful and friendly when she goes in by herself. Most importantly she says they don't make her feel as if she "knows nothing at all about it" when they're helping her. Our most recent visit was Friday of the February half-term as the boys had completed the first section of the 'Battle honours' booklet. The store manager engaged with both boys about their chosen armies before stamping their books and giving them their free reward. (a wallet for holding unit data cards and such like) He then have them a quick tutorial on how to Paint using the technical paint tesseract green so that the youngest boy knew how to Paint the Weapons in his Necrons. This tutorial was carried out on a miniature (one for each boy) which they were able to keep free of charge. The manager also gave each boy a free Black Library compilation book (without being asked) and talked about the free painting and gaming tutorials they do in the store. However the most impressive aspect was the stores efforts to provide Crimson Fist decals for my eldest Space Marines. They did this at no cost and posted the decals out to us. My son was absolutely bowled over when they arrived as it included decals for the marines shoulder pads, decals for banners and decals for vehicles. I can't praise the staff enough, they're doing a fantastic job and for the first time since the mid 90's I actually enjoyed going into a GW store!
