At the heart of life in the fabulous Ribble Valley

Located beside an ancient stone bridge over a babbling brook at the heart of the picture postcard village of Waddington, the Waddington Arms is the hub of this vibrant little community. It’s the perfect place to eat, drink, relax and catch up with friends. Come rain or shine, the ‘Waddy’ is the ideal venue for celebrations large and small. Sit outside in the sunshine on the terrace or beer garden or cosy up inside in front of a roaring wood fire.

Our varied menus are available for lunch and dinner every day and feature everything from light bites to spectacular Sunday roasts with all the trimmings. Six beautiful bedrooms provide a cosy base for exploring the Ribble Valley, Forest of Bowland, Yorkshire Dales and even the Lake District – all of which are within easy reach.

This is a great place. Really cozy, comforting feel with friendly helpful staff. The food was 10/10. Good portions but without scrimping on quality. We visited the area for 3 night and ate here two of those night and would have returned if we were staying longer.

Bit disappointing, been here a few times before and been impressed in the past. Had a long wait to order food, despite not being that busy...even longer wait for starters to be cleared and main course arriving. Food was ok, nothing special. Also no heating on, it was freezing, we were sat next to a cold radiator with temperatures outside of -3°. There was an open fire in the other room but that did not heat up the whole pub.

Recently visited for a meal, table was booked for 5.30pm. Menus on the table, nobody took our order till after 6pm, food arrived at 6.30pm. Starters and main. Food was pretty good, only time for starters and main course, then they came at 7pm to say people were waiting for our table, they didn't ask if we wanted puddings. Il not be rushing back.

Lovely to sit in the sunshine for our Sunday Roast, but only 1 veg choice on the plate, the knives could do with sharpening to cut the beef. The roast pots were spot on.

Beautiful beef dinner - but consensus of the group was we would have liked more of the root vegetable puree and a some mashed potato. Bit pricey at £17.00 for one course but it was delicious!!
