Can be let with The Dairy for a group of 10. Upper Vobster Farm is a unique country property, a family home that has grown and evolved over the years and been extended to share with others. Here is an abundance on offer. The land surrounding the farm is rich in history and situated near the historic village of Mells, 13 miles from the Roman city of Bath and close to Babington House. Other places to visit include Longleat, Stourhead, Lacock, Wells, Glastonbury and Frome, especially on market day. The original house was built in the 16th Century and is set in the unspoilt English countryside overlooking Shipperidge Wood, which is a conservation area for birds of prey. Tricia and Michael have lovingly restored the house, cottages and buildings and the grounds are being continually re-landscaped to complete this pristine tranquil rural retreat. At the centre of the property is a timeless luxury Farm house which is available for exclusive lets and sleeps 8. There are 4 cottages and studios by the Courtyard and 2 cottages on or around the grounds sleeping from between 2 and 6. The farm is a place where you can feel safe and be with yourself and your family in modern luxury holiday accommodation in the Somerset countryside. Some of our Somerset cottages are dog friendly so inquire if you want to bring your pet.

Upper Vobster Farm was even better than described and pictured. Michael and Tricia are unbelievably generous and helpful hosts. Our stay at Lavender Cottage in particular couldn’t have been nicer, a lovely backyard with reclining Adirondack chairs, lovely, open doors from the kitchen and dining area to the outside, a well, equipped kitchen, and all the amenities. We are so grateful for all that was provided. Thank you Michael, thank you, Tricia!

Myself and my partner have just returned from an amazing long weekend at The Upper Vobster Farm. Stunning grounds and an extremely warm and personable welcome from Michael and Trisha (and Toby the dog) who are hands on in running the farm and ensuring we had a great stay. The farm has been renovated to a very high standard with every detail being very well thought out. There is everything you need in the rooms, down to the fine details. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms and grounds are clean and impeccable. The farm has stunning views and the most friendly animals that you can interact with. Michael and his team make such an effort to involve you in the feeding of the animals, collecting eggs for breakfast etc if you so wish. Great for kids (even though we don’t have kids). We held and fed the new lambs which was just wonderful. Five min away - if that, is Babington House and Frome plus lots of other villages and things to do. We did a little walk through the woods and the wild garlic fields, also there is a cute summer house and fire pit. All in all I would 100% recommend the farm, whether for a family, couple or individual stay. We felt so relaxed when we left. A perfect weekend, thank you once again! Also, a mention to Paula and Lucas who help out to feed the animals and were so lovely and welcoming.

Beautiful place to stay and stunning views and nature surrounding the farm. We had a lovely time. We stayed at the Dairy and every detail is thought of, the mattress is super comfortable, very spacious room and bathroom. Tricia and Michael are super helpful and friendly. We don't have children but they had an Easter Egg Hunt organised and children seemed to be having great fun. Definitely a place to return.

Upper Vobster Farm is a real treasure. We were in from the US for a wedding in the area and staying here with friends and family. I can’t say enough about the hosts Michael and Tricia who were attentive to all our needs: even offering a selection of neckties for my husband who forgot his! My kids went on rambling walks and helped feed the animals. I basked in the sun in the large garden at Lavender Cottage surrounded by roses. Our three days were magical, restorative and memorable. On a scale from 1-10 UVFarm is an 11! 😉
