Had to wait a little while in the bar area as we didn't book a but it didn't take too long. The service was good and everyone was friendly. Food was out in a reasonable time. The food was good, I tried something unusual but it was good. Personally I had to eat the chicken separately but that isn't a problem.

Food was very very nice, I loved my mixed grill. The chips were excellent, the meat was perfect and the sauce topped it off. Loved the refillable drinks, very much appreciated that. The salad bar was a nice touch aswell. The chocolate cake was excellent, very very tasty. Unfortunately our nice was somewhat ruined by the shocking arrival of a party, this one old woman whacked my partner with her bag as she walked through, very loud, very inconsiderate of other people, just awful people really. Party's that big should be separate from couples just coming for a quiet meal, left not long after that party arrived, would have stayed longer otherwise.

The pub its self is really nice, however the service was almost non existent. Sat waiting to order a drink for over an hour after the first drink, when drinks were able to be ordered they took almost 30 mins to arrive at the table each time. We were told they were busy with other guests on the other side of the pub. We witnessed a child spitting there food out into the buffet sald station. This was reported and cleared right away but we were told this happens often. I can't say we are at all impressed, food was nice but not at all worth the prices charged. The meal pictured was £16.Unfortunately, after trying 2 separate harvesters 4 separate times.. we won't be returning to a harvester again. We had a good experience 1 out of 4 times. Not prepared to spend our money and risk the bad service and OK but overpriced food again. X

We had a really great meal & we all commented afterwards how well manager Tom did to keep us updated on our table (reserved for it's closeness to the salad bar due to one of our party having mobility issues)... we arrived 30 mins early and weren't expecting to be seated early but Tom did his best to get us sat down as soon as he could. We were also really impressed with our server Claudia - she explained some menu alternatives & had a really good sense of humour about the kids "build your own" dessert being eaten by 3 adults in the end! All the team looked after us well, cheers guys

Not bad. Not amazing though. Generous portions. Decent bacon. Four stars might be generous. Filter coffee ok.
