Rosanna Lowden5 StarWonderful food and service. Delightful pies! Made us feel very welcome, perfect after a walk on the beach. The team serving were friendly and loved our dog! One suggestion would be some background music. It was super quiet and just needed something soft playing in the background. Other than that pretty perfect.Wednesday 9th November 2022
G Matthews5 StarWonderful girls serving up their great food. Had a good chat with them after our brilliant pies , veg & chips.....Loads of menu choices by the way...
Their puff pastry pies are outstanding and homemade on site with generous meat and other fillings; we loved the venison, red wine & juniper and the chicken & leek. Happy days...ENJOYTuesday 25th October 2022
Irana Bednarczyk5 StarMy partner and I love a good pub, a good pint and a good home cooked pie and this place delivered on all three!! The pies are superb, served with a choice of potato and freshly cooked veg and we managed to squeeze in a very pleasant pudding. The icing on the cake was a very fine pint of Blackshore Stout, a beer we love that we don't see often enough. All the tables around us were also commenting on how good their meals were too.
The staff are friendly and the service efficient but not rushed. The main conversation on the drive home was how good the pies were - and what we are going to have next time, I don't think it'll be too long!! Highly recommendedSunday 5th March 2023
Simon Botterill4 StarBook in advance to be certain of a table. Decent small choice of ales. Starters and mains were excellent, especially their pies. Puddings good in our party of 8, but sadly the jam roly-poly was dry and hard. Wasn't like that last time. Great place to go though.Friday 9th September 2022
Tom Hardy5 StarVery nice to see wherry on tap, quite a small bar and snug that we 8 totally took over, on a quiet evening before the reserved tables came in, which was really nice.
I'm not quite sure that we'd find enough place if it wasn't empty. Good picked eggs 👍 and ranger of bar snacks. We didn't order food.
Parking is opposite the pub up over the crossroads.Sunday 19th February 2023
