You would be foolish to eat anywhere else in Deal. Nick and his team will make your meal an experience that you will want to repeat. Lots of locals and often full so perhaps book to avoid disappointment. Ok, I'm Nick's brother but it's my honest opinion. He makes cooking seem effortless but it's really hard work. So many regulars cannot be wrong. Update - Just undergone a major refurbishment (the building not Nick the owner and chef!) so the scaffolding has gone now. April 2022 update - Get it whilst you can! £19 for three courses? Try and find something equivalent in Deal, and all fresh from scratch. July 2022 update - The new menu is going a storm. Still all cooked from scratch by Nick.

First time visit for us as local residents. Good table in a quiet corner. Good quality food and friendly attentive service. Limited bar choice is our only criticism hence the 4 stars.

While visiting a sibling for the weekend, four of us went to the Three Compasses Restaurant for dinner.. What we all experienced was great food and service, all sensibly priced, great portions and all the food arrived hot and on hot plates ! (virtually an unknown in many of the restaurants we have recently visited). Thank you, we have no hesitation in recommending you as a great restaurant and look forward to the next opportunity we have to visit and enjoy your great food, etc. again.
