this place!!!! people have moaned and complained in so many eays but this place is bang on!! worked local and stayed here, the owner is a top bloke funny and welcoming, young lass behind the bar is helpful and a good host. food is homely and cooked by the owners mrs amazing burgers and plenty on the plate. ignore the moaners its cosey traditional and comfortable, warm with the open fire and a good stay thanks damien and callum

Brilliant place to stay for our golf weekend. 12 of us had a great time in this 500 year old pub. Pool table. Darts numerous other games. Gym set up. And if you want beer on tap you can ask for the owner to get a barrel.

The food was really good, was lovely and tasty, you may have to wait a bit for food, but that's what you do if you want it fresh . its a lovely relaxed atmosphere, the staff are friendly, nothings too much trouble . I was with my friends from Holland , who always go there every time they come over. They love the older style of a typical English pub that serves good food. A very enjoyable time. Thank you to all the staff seeing us yesterday.

What a wonderful 500 year old pub. Staff very friendly as well. We stayed here 3 nights and whilst the accommodation does not offer Premier Inn bland uniformity it is quirky, even slightly awkward, but its all the better for it. Would love to return again. Beer and food excellent as well.
