Once an old coaching house, The Whitchaff can be found close Rawtenstall and Edenfield. It's a traditional pub, serving delicious pub food. Award-winning cask ales are served with continental lagers, wines and spirits. From the beer garden there's panoramic views of the Rossendale valley.
The stone building dates from 1761, it was once an old coaching house. It’s been a pub for well over 100 years and used to be called the Hare & Hounds; the present unusual name, adopted in the 1970’s, is a combination of the shortened names of two of the owners of the day.

Well, my only niggle is I couldn't find how to make an online booking so had to call and call all morning to get through and book.
Once here, food was above average for "pub grub", lots of choice on the menu.
All served promptly and piping hot.

Emma5 StarMyself and my mum visited the Whitchaff for the first time today and what a lovely experience we had! They had a great selection on the menu and what we ordered was super tasty. All the staff were really lovely and welcoming, we were checked on regularly to make sure all was well with our meals and asked if we needed more drinks often. Our server Tom was an absolute superstar and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed in a friendly and very polite manner.
