Great stay. Just stopped here to break up a journey on the way between Scotland and Dorset. Very happy with everything. The room was spotless with a comfy bed, great smart TV and my other half was massively impressed with the jacuzzi bath. Food was excellent and filling, dinner was good with decent choices and the beer good. Breakfast was really impressive with good quality bacon and sausages. Thanks to Carl and all the staff, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

4 of us stayed 1 night here, the rooms were very good with a good size en-suite. We had an evening meal which was very well presented, tasty... and plentiful. The waiting staff were very attentive. Breakfast had good selection cereal, juices etc.. the full English was lovely and well cooked. Again the waiting staff were attentive... would definatly stay again. Also free parking available.

We had the most excellent meal here, Sunday lunchtime but with an extensive menu. Our meals were both first class, the service was lovely and the drinks wonderful. A truly delicious experience, we will certainly be visiting again.

Awful, genuinely awful food. We ordered the mussels and sea bass, with a side of bread and salad. Bread was literally packet bought - disgusting white squares cut into triangles as if we were 5 years old. The bass was so overcooked and dry, but the real highlight was the awful dry and inedible mash. Who knew a pub could get mash potato so wrong? Honestly, we drove out of our way to visit this highly rated pub. Do NOT go for the food. The outdoor area is depressing, but the indoors are nice enough. The waitresses were very friendly.
