If you live in this part of Dorset you are lucky to have the Thimble nearby. If you are visiting make sure that a meal is on your itinerary. The food is superb, with a menu that changes regularly. I’ve never been disappointed. From the moment you walk in the door you are made very welcome by the exceptionally friendly staff.

We had the most delightful family Sunday lunch here. It was beautifully served by really pleasant young staff. The Inn itself is very quaint and has well kept gardens with outdoor eating too, great for warmer weather. There was a great choice of food and there was plenty of it. We will definitely visit again.

The most wonderful pub! The food was incredible and the service was amazing too! We have a 2 year old and they were so accommodating, helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend to anyone driving past or in the area and would definitely be coming back here if we are nearby again! Fish and chips was the best we've had in a long time!

I am lucky enough to be local to this pub. The menu regularly changes depending on season and ingredients. This food is simply outstanding and the beer is locally brewed from the family owned traditional Palmers brewery with copper tuns. The staff are amazing, friendly and always pleased to help. Booking is always recommended. A must to visit when in Dorset.

I suppose we were a bit different to the usual Thimble customer as we were there for the quiz. Now quiz night is a fun night and it's the same beer as every other night but the focus is on the quiz and so the ambiance of the place is secondary. We had a great night despite being hammered in the quiz. The beer was all it should be, the pies were perfect and the service was excellent. I'll have to go back on another night and see if it's worth five stars.
