Amazing room, so beautiful and clean. Perfect location. The lord mayor was outside our window downstairs opening the charter fair! Breakfast was absolutely delicious (Eggs Benedict and vegetarian breakfast both delicious). Slept well and wasn't disturbed, despite being a light sleeper and our windows being above the High Street. The bed and pillows are so comfortable! Parking was close and secure, although there were no spaces and we slightly worried when we returned that we wouldn't have a space but there was no problem. Location couldn't have been better for Southwold, such a lovely place. It wasn't cheap but it was worth the money.

My wife and I went to The Swan Hotel as a wedding anniversary treat. We were certainly not disappointed. The hotel feels very classy, and staff were all impeccably professional and polite. The afternoon tea itself, served in a very stylish room with lovely decor, was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. Once again, the staffed that served us were all very polite and friendly. I highly recommend The Swan Hotel for its afternoon tea.

What a wonderful experience! We had afternoon tea at The Swan to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was perfect. We were wondering how to choose what to have, but you actually get everything, just small but delicious mouthfuls. We went for the optional prosecco to round it off too. The staff were lovely and we came away with a doggy bag for what we couldn't manage to eat.

Every year, we book an afternoon tea for our birthday celebrations. We deliver our balloons for our table, and yet again, they are not waiting on the table for us to arrive. The staff then placed the balloons on the table after we asked where they were! They literally dumped them in the middle of the table,in a tied up heap. The food was lovely and we enjoyed it. Just a shame the service didn't match. The service was not the best. The price of the afternoon tea had risen by £3 each on booking which we queried on paying. They reluctantly reduced the price after proving we booked it at the lower price. We did not pay the very overpriced service charge as we all felt he service was not its best. Sadly, this year we all had special events to celebrate, 60th x 2 - 70th x 2- becoming a Grandma fir the first time x 2- and we were left totally deflated from our visit.
