Really lovely little pub in the heart of Lancaster! Just a short walk from the centre of town and the train station, the Sun is an absolute gem of a pub! It's relaxed, down to earth and friendly, great music, huge menu with loads of options including vegan and gluten free! Absolutely fantastic if not the best selection I've seen choice of spirits, I seen a sign they have over 100? But loads on tap and in the fridge too, if you're after a meal or a drink, session or social either way it's brilliant and a must see if you're in the area!

Located near to central Lancaster this is a little gem of a place. Rooms very tastefully decorated and well equipped even has an ironing board. Large selection of craft ales and lagers. Quaint little beer garden. Plenty of choice on breakfast menu to suit all appetites.

I was there for business. Much more a holiday hotel. Breakfast served at 7:30am with doors to bar/restaurant locked until then. You can get out however the fire route was lined on one day with rubbish bags, the next with towels. They did say they'd sort it but it's a major fire hazard and it looked like something they normally do. I can't say whether they changed. On the positive side, the room was lovely and spacious, beautiful old building with lots of history very well done. The food was fabulous. Really tasty. Most of the staff were lovely too. Knocked off stars for the fire hazard. Fire routes should always remain clear.

We had a great stay at the Sun. The room was lovely and comfortable, staff were very friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. We thought it was good value for money, especially when we could have paid quite a bit more for a room at one of the usual chains. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing staff, especially a lady called Ellie who went out of her way to help with our stay. Great rooms. Great bar and food. Great location.
