We hired the room upstairs for our Mum's wake as she enjoyed going to The Ship and the views over Langstone Harbour. It was perfect! The staff were extremely kind and respectful of the event. The hot and cold buffet, all freshly made, was delicious, and guests felt comfortable and looked after. Thank you from the whole family to all the team! Very much appreciated.

Situated in a beautiful setting albeit next to a busy road, we called in for food after rejecting an offer elsewhere. To our surprise and that of others who pulled in with the same expectations, they had run out of food! Similarly the next food pub was the same. There's obviously still issue with staffing and supply chain at peak periods since brexit, but you'd think a more substantial plan for holiday time with a heatwave would be a priority.....or perhaps not & it's all about profit.

Visiting family in Havant. Decided to visit The Ship Inn. Used to drink in there with my Dad in the '70's. Couldn't believe they still sold Gales HSB. Had a pint, the first pint of Gales in that pub for 45 years. Shame it wasn't the same price😂. Fantastic pint, just like the old days. Pub busy with lots of happy faces. Enjoyed it so much, I went and had another pint in the evening.

Fabulous meal and great service. Warm friendly greetings on arrival into a lovely old pub with great atmosphere and seating inside upstairs and outside. The waiter and waitress were engaging and fun but proffesional. The menu is not huge but to me this is a major tick as it shows they don't have loads of food sitting around and it's freshly prepared. We had a portion of garlic bread and cheese to start which was on lovely bread. For main I had gnocchi and my Husband steak both were fresh and delicious then brownie and waffles, the brownie was one of the best I have had and the waffles equally as good. We have paid more in run of the mill chain restaurant and had no where near as good food. We would highly recommend and advise booking as it was busy on a Tuesday evening. Thank you ship inn for a great evening

Great location. Sit outside and watch the tide turn from the shade or out in the sun. Lovely. Then you order drinks and get reminded why Wetherspoons does so well. Oh well, it's the holiday, let it go. Order some lunch. I went for a Cajun style chick pea salad for £12 (I know, for a salad?) my wife had the feta and avocado salad for £13.25!! About 30 minutes later, they arrived. Have a look at the photos. I think there was four cubes of feta mostly hidden by brown lettuce leaves. My salad was laughable if it wasn't such a rip off. Look at what you get for £12!!! Obviously, they went back. We were offered a veggie wrap instead, which was fine, and to be fair, they said they would cancel the credit card charge. That hasn't happened yet. Staff were accommodating about it and there might have been a problem in the kitchen, but it was very disappointing.
