Welcome to our pub! It’s our latest venture and our first classic, country inn. Located within close proximity to our brewery (just over two miles as the crow flies), the Royal Oak is a grade-II listed, 17th Century pub that can be found in the main square of Cartmel. It’s a proper community pub with rooms to stay in and a riverside beer garden.
You’ll find plenty of our beers on the bar along with a carefully curated selection from guest breweries. There’s also ciders, spirits, natural wines, softs and snacks sourced from other small, independent producers, many local. There’s a kitchen cooking up seasonal comfort food as well. The place means a lot to us, with many of the team having visited it since they were children. So, do come and pay us a visit. You can expect a warm welcome. It’s our local after all.

Franklin T Hall5 StarGreat beers in a lovely pub with a fabulous garden. Dog and vegan friendly. Cartmel ain't bad either. Staff are friendly, helpful, professional and go the extra mile that makes it a special place...best place to drink in the area...food's good too. Oh, so are the bar snacks...Tuesday 26th July 2022

Drinks and food were great. I tried a local cider, very refreshing. And then a local wheat beer which tasted just like a German Weissbier, delicious. To eat I had a Hunters chicken & stuffing topped pork pie with rocket & picalilli which was perfect. My partner enjoyed her Crudites (raw veg), no frills but the homemade roasted pepper dip was lovely especially with the fries we shared.Wednesday 17th August 2022
