At the Royal Oak, our food is popular with both guests and locals who can dine in our comfortable relaxing atmosphere. We prefer to use fresh local produce for our dishes.
With the New Forest on our doorstep, we have plenty of local suppliers. Our meat is sourced less than 3 miles away at Godshill from New Pastures Butchers. The coast is a short stone’s throw away which means our fish is always fresh and line caught where possible.
As well as Lunch and Dinner we serve a Traditional Sunday Roast every Sunday from 12 noon – 3 pm.

Nicholas Burton5 StarFirst visit having driven past this pub last week. I have to say this is a fantastic idyllic traditional thatched English pub in a beautiful New Forest setting. Beautiful interior and lovely both front and rear garden area. Haven't sampled the food yet but from first impressions I would say there is no reason to suspect it would be anything less than excellentThursday 2nd June 2022

I was served by Will who is excellent , very friendly and welcoming and gave a good recommendation for the roast and the local beers. This is probably the cleanest pub I’ve ever been in. The sirloin of beef is fantastic I would whole heartedly recommend it for Sunday lunch. Will come again.Sunday 26th June 2022

fiona Winter5 StarWe visited today on a spur of the moment thing...they were the only local pub we could find who served lunch. We had no expectations and a friend had told us that the food wasnt up to scratch...how wrong they were. The pub is beautifully situated with a charming and extremely well kept garden. The interior was modern but spotlessly decorated. It is honestly the cleanest pub i have EVER visited. The staff were young, polite and professional without being annoying. The food was frankly outstanding with generous portion sizes. We had duck (cooked to perfection) and the best stroganoff we have ever tasted. This is 100% worth a visit.
