I booked this hotel as it was close to the hospital where I was having surgery the next day. Upon arrival the lady was very accommodating and as I was self isolating, arrangements were made so that my wife and myself were unable to have room service which is not normally offered to guests. The room was in the outbuilding of the hotel and was clean, had all we needed. As it turned out we ate our evening meal in the wonderful beer garden. Again the staff respected my self isolation requirements. Great place to stay, will definitely visit again.

Our room was freezing on arrival. Had to put the heater on and go into the bar to warm up whilst the room heated up. Room very small. Glasses in the bathroom were dirty. Took ages to get hot water running in the shower. Bed very comfortable and pillows are good. £90 for one nights stay without parking. In my opinion it wasn't value for money. Bar itself is very nice and staff really helpful

The Royal Hotel and Bar is one of the finest hotels in Lancaster! My family and I were in town for 5 days and stayed here for the entire duration of our trip. The staff are amazing, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the location is perfect! It is located downtown, which means ease of access to stores :)
