Welcome to Royal Forester Inn Restaurant and Bed & Breakfast

Located in the Severn Valley just outside the Georgian riverside town of Bewdley, on the edge of the beautiful Wyre Forest and just a short drive from Worcestershire's rolling hills and picturesque countryside, The Royal Forester Country Inn is reputed to be one of the county's oldest inns. A refurbishment in March 2018 has added to the charm of the building and made it 'the must go to' place in and around Bewdley.

The restaurant is well known, has earned the AA breakfast award 2018 and has held an AA Rosette Award for Culinary Excellence since 2008.

The latest attraction is the inns spectacular tipi venue which can be attached to the conservatory of the pub for larger parties of up to 100 people.

Seven on-suite double bedrooms are part of the inns charm, each one of the rooms has been designed after locally available fruit and vegetables. All rooms have double beds, are on-suite and available inclusive of breakfast.

The proprietors Sean and Maxine are very proud to have won Channel4's Four in a bed in 2014.

Absolutely amazing experience staying here. Unbelievable value. Spacious family room where little one had room to play and also huge bed. Both double and single bed was comfy. Room and bathroom clean. Unlike so many inns water pressure and temperature was great. Most surprising to us was the breakfast that was included in the price- see pictures. Definitely saving this place to return again.

Friendly, lovely staff. Lovely food, reasonable price, especially the two courses for £12. Stayed 2 nights. Room very comfortable and clean. We stayed in the aubergine room. Road was quite noisy at times. Will stay again when in the area.

One of the nicest beds I've ever slept in !!! Crisp, clean, amazing smelling bed linen & loads of pillows, fabulous. Lovely room, spacious, clean (apart from a few missed marks on bath) & very comfortable. I think a better reception/check in area would be beneficial & a sign to let you know where to go. I don't remember the young ladies name (but found out she was the manager) welcomed me to the property in a lovely friendly (not the fake kind) manor & was very apologetic that the key to my room had unfortunately been taken by the previous guests, unfortunately there were no other rooms available, it didn't cause any issue for me. Lovely fresh cooked breakfast, just didn't like the thick g/f roll I was given (I asked for g/f toast). My only real dislike was the extremely dusty ornaments etc in the restaurant area, there was an arrangement of what appeared to be pheasant feathers on the ceiling covered in a lot of cob webs. Overall though a very pleasant stay.

Came here for a meal after doing the Go Ape Tree Tops Challenge in the Wyre Forest opposite. We had a brilliant meal - it was Steak Night which was cooked to perfection with all the trimmings. Delicious! Loved sitting out under the giant teepee which was all lit up and looking gorgeous. Throws provided in case we got chilly & even the table decorations were lovely with an assortment of pretty wild flowers in vintage enamel mugs. There was even a bell/buzzer you could press at the table which rang in the main restaurant/pub area if you needed anything. Polite & friendly staff & good service. Will definitely go back
