The Railway is an Independent Freehouse serving excellent Traditional Home Cooked Food, a good selection of Real Ales and a wide choice of Fine Wines. The Railway is a traditional style family pub within easy walking of Wymondham Town Centre and only a couple of minutes from Wymondham Railway Station.
Our emphasis is to provide the ideal destination for all the family, whether a quiet drink with some friends, an excellent family meal or a quite dinner for two. We have ample parking and extensive indoor seating, whilst outside we have large Beer Gardens, an enclosed family garden area and a Secluded Courtyard Terrace.
The Railway is privately owned and as such we can bring that personal family touch that everyone loves in a good traditional family pub. Joe Cutler5 StarWent to the railway for a works Christmas meal with colleagues. Staff very pleasant and polite. Food was very nice Christmas menu was good and fairly priced for the 2 course or 3 course meal. COVID restrictions are in place, nice setting and will visit again.Monday 13th December 2021
SlothsHere2 StarAs someone who used to come to this place a lot, I'm disappointed that I won't ever be returning again.
The food is absolutely superb, nothing to be faulted whatsoever. Majority of the staff are exceedingly friendly and can't complain whatsoever there.
However the reason for not returning is the atmosphere. It seemed absolutely miserable the last two times I've been since Lockdown lifted. The owner has been exceedingly blunt and rude to me twice in a row which quite frankly makes me feel uncomfortable & the customers around the pub premises aren't friendly whatsoever.
Last but not least the drinks are the most expensive I've ever seen in ANY pub. The food pricing is excellent but the drinks will ramp up your bill beyond belief, it's ridiculous.
Don't recommend. There's plenty of other pubs worth giving a chance instead.Saturday 19th June 2021

The service was very good.no long wait even though they were busy. The staff were very friendly. Will definitely go there again wish we had of visited sooner.
