Charming Country Pub and Restaurant Located in the rural village of Winmarleigh, Lancashire, The Patten Arms is the essence of a traditional village pub that is favoured by both locals and visitors alike. Recorded as a public house as far back as 1860, the building is steeped in history yet the décor and furnishings are kept tastefully modern and understated, creating a welcoming mix of old and new.

The roaring fire provides an inviting and warm ambience throughout the colder months whilst the pleasant beer garden invites guests to sit outside and enjoy their food and drinks on warm summer days.

Whether meeting for a quick bite, catching up with friends and family for drinks in the bar or a meal in the restaurant, you can be sure of a warm welcome and a great selection of wines, ales and food to choose from.

Absolutely top drawer - nothing more to be said. Great food, drinks, atmosphere and staff. With loads of British pubs on the decline, it's fantastic to see one that is being well-run and taking pride in what it delivers. We had our son's christening here (in the renovated pavilion) and everything was spot on. Matt handled our booking and food choices superbly and demonstrated with ease that The Patten Arms is able to handle more than just an excellent dining-room service. Would highly recommend!

We visited as a group of four on a Saturday night in summer. The place had a buzzing atmosphere and was certainly lively and a great place to be. The menu was more than adequate and the drinks were certainly reasonably priced. The food itself was pretty good too. The starters were a little small, but the mains were brilliant, and the wait was reasonable. We'll definitely be coming back, and apart from a bit of bill confusion, we couldn't fault the service! Recommended for families, groups, and couples.

Me and my partner are mega foodies and I must say it’s amazing food! They go above and beyond. The pattern caters for kids and adults. We have never had a bad meal here, it’s always busy . We defo recommend you can’t ask for anything more. A fabulous local. Looking forward to going again.

I came here after doing a skydive with my dad. I ordered a cheese and onion pie and it was amazing. It was the best pie I've ever had. I would definitely recommend.

I really liked this pub. The food was really excellent, we had the veggie Thai curry which was excellent. The beer was great too and the landlady really friendly. The pub has a nice atmosphere and also cyclist friendly.
