Now under new management it’s clean and the staff are friendly. A lovely local Community pub for family’s. The cobs are superb. The real ale is very good too. I will definitely be going back again.

Great friendly little pub with a lovely ambience and the added bonus of a beautiful cosy wood burning stove in the bar. Staff great as well.

If it was possible to award zero stars I would do. Recently taken over and given a lick of paint, don't be deceived, nothing's really changed, no improvement on the quality of the beer and the scum element hasn't been eradicated. The Enville Ale on tap that I drank was unfit for human consumption, in hindsight I should have demanded my money to be returned and gone elsewhere. If you want excellent real ale coupled with a pleasant atmosphere don't bother visiting. It's such a shame, The Old Cat is in a super position, a prime spot for passing trade and a focal hub for the local community, the landlords should take heed and take a look at the doorstep competition and learn by the way they are providing a service to their clientele else they won't be in business long.

Not sure what's happened since my original review below! No Ales, Ciders beers etc only Fosters and served completely flat... "It must be the way I've poured it" Oh that's alright then! Friendly staff and very welcoming. Ideal place to book the lounge for a small party or celebration. Maybe it's time to try again if you haven't been for a while.
