The Old Bakery is a lovely building full of history and character. It’s a very popular place so you can often be waiting for a table. However we have been lucky a few times to have breakfast and lunches. The breakfasts use a lovely thick cut bread. The staff are always friendly and give service with a smile.

4 star for pretty, service and location. Shame it’s not clotted cream to go with scones and jam. But it’s worth the sit down here to enjoy its charm and watch the world go by as it over looks the market square.

Visited the tea rooms when the weather was scorching, so the outside seating was perfect. It is in a courtyard so sheltered from the wind and a nice little sun trap. The food was nice, and good sized portions. Waiting staff were lovely and really helpful. Only faults were the drinks were a little pricey for what they were and the way management were talking to and treating their staff was not great. Was embarrassing to hear them talk so rudely to their staff, and a bit uncomfortable to witness.

37£ for 2 small basic sandwiches, 1 slice of cake (cut into 2 slices), 1 scone, 1 tea and 1 soft drink. Understand in a cost of living crisis businesses have to increase their prices but this was absolutely extortionate, I still cannot get over 1 scone??? Food was very basic and was not even given a choice of cakes. There were a couple of very small "chunks" of cake but but this was just beyond comprehension (1 scone!!). I've given 2 stars as service was okay although agree with other reviews, manager had poor hospitality skills. We not provided with any forks. Had to use teaspoon to eat my half a slice of cake.

Hi, I beleive this is my first review ever besides game reviews and it is a very special one for me. For about a year now I have come here from time to time and its always a very special and cozy time for me. The owner is a very nice man if you speak to him, interesting enough he is Italian hahaha and he as an absolutely amazing accent. The staff are always very nice to me, they give me really sound choices when i ask for their opinion and they are always so kind and always try to make my experience as memorable as it can be, the best part about that is that I feel like they do not do it on purpose. The food is homemade, I always get the ham and muchroom fritatta whis is really good but the sweets, oh the sweets 😊 they are made by this Sicilian woman and they are ABSOLUTELY gorgeous. I tell you, its not the cheapest place but it is an amazing place, you absolutely feel like you are actually paying for the comfort and the quality. I hope the ones reading this get a chance to visit this place it is absolutely gorgeous, in a homie way.
