We have dined at The Nelson on at least 6 occasions & it never disappoints. This evening we had a vegetarian friend with us who was impressed by the vegetarian options and enjoyed the vegetarian burger. My husband had the sea bass & I had the lasagne - both were excellent. The portions are always generous, all the staff are friendly and professional. What more can you ask? We will definitely be back !!

Went for a birthday meal. The food was amazing. The menu has variety, offering choices for every palate. The prices were in keeping with the quality of food. The staff were attentive, professional and friendly. The venue is lovely and in a beautiful setting, with car park and beer garden. Pet friendly but only in the garden. Would highly recommend

Good menu nice variety and good vegetarian options.seating is comfortable, pub is light and spacious. Great service, very friendly helpful staff. Only down side was the music..too loud to have a relaxed lunch conversation. I think there is enough atmosphere without the additional intrusive noise.

We had the best night for my daughters 18th. The staff were brilliant. We were a party of 12 adults and a baby. Nothing was to much trouble We ordered the child's food to come before ours as she needed feeding this was not a problem for them. All our food came out at the same time and was piping hot. We did look at going to a few other places first and non of theses other restaurants wanted to accommodate a party of 12 easily. The Nelson were brilliant and will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff.
