As a whole team, our aim is to provide a relaxed dining environment where stunning food & attentive service is at the heart of our ethos. We have designed one menu, entirely dictated by the seasons. An experience designed around the fusion of different cuisines, nostalgia, informality & fun. Fine Dining in Derbyshire has never been better. From brisk winter mornings to the warm summer sun, our experiences in life are dictated by the seasons, so why should the food we eat be any different? Traditionally, we wouldn’t have had the choice to enjoy foods provided to us by nature in a different season than the one we’re in, so we’ve pair it back and we aim to enjoy ingredients as they arrive. Every time the menu changes, we book a table at The Lighthouse. Whilst every dish is not perfect, you cannot deny the ambition, creativity and customer focus of this young team. They take constructive feedback on board and strive for continuous improvement. As a long term fine diner, a meal at The Lighthouse is something I always look forward to. Keep pushing the boundaries, Lighthouse team!

Large atmospheric dining room located behind traditional pub. Its reputation for fine dining is well deserved. Service excellent and staff knowledgable. Not expensive for what is on offer.

Enjoyed the food very much. Each dish exquisite, tasty and well presented. We could see into the kitchen which was interesting and clean, with staff who seemed to be happy about their work. Beautifully set in the countryside. Staff very helpful, friendly and attentive. They all used the Royal "we" eg "Are we ready to order?" "Do we want to see the wine menu?" which was rather artificial and unnecessary and felt rather patronising. However the staff were clearly following policy. The decor is fresh, light and modern. Service felt a little slow between some courses. The restaurant was busy however we had lots of room and it wasn't noisy. We enjoyed our evening very much.

Our favourite restaurant by a long stretch. It serves a fine dining experience with a delicious, extravagant tasting menu with a multi layer of wonderful flavours that never fail to surprise and delight. I can't recommend it enough.
