This is a great pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere. They are dog friendly. They had a nice selection of beers and the food was excellent, Huge portions and obviously home cooked the meals where delicious. We would highly recommend a visit if you in the area.

Great pub with a quirky atmosphere. Food was fantastic and the staff were really friendly and helpful.Steak pie and chips was a real plateful as can be seen. Will be back on our next trip to Maryport

Lovely place. The staff are friendly and we were happy to chill here for a while. The food was great, for 3 meals and 3 drinks for 2 adults and a child cost £35 so is a bargain, there is a lot of food so you won't go hungry. The food is great, and is traditional pub grub. Today it was quiet, the weather I suppose but we were told it is usually full and difficult to get a table so you may need to book. Overall, friendly, cheap and tasty. Great.

Sat out in the back beer garden today and it was glorious. The staff are lovely as is the landlady. We got the carvery and were not disappointed. To say the portions are large is an understatement. Wonderfully home cooked food with plenty of choice. Will be coming back to try the rest of the menu ❤

We stopped here on a wet Sunday evening intending to just have a glass of wine before returning to our van for dinner. However it was so cosy and the food looked good we decided to stay and eat. We were not disappointed we had Scampi and chips and it was wonderful, large portions and freshly cooked. The other dishes we saw being served looked equally good especially the large Yorkshire pudding.
