An absolute joy and definitely worth the visit. Excellent staff who were friendly, polite and helpful. An extensive menu both for drinks and food. Food menu was well thought out with many options for all tastes. In addition, a daily board with further options. Vegan and gluten free options widely available and swapping options or adding something to most choices. Service was fast and food arrived on a timely basis. Food was well cooked and presentation couldn't be faulted. Good portion size. We popped in for lunch and enjoyed it so much, came back the following day. I would definitely highly recommend.

Great little pub. Extensive food menu, at reasonable prices. Inside, there are numerous tables, but the joy is the outside terrace which overlooks the marina. I had the whitebait, which was plentiful and delicious, my companion had the loaded hotdog, which again not only looked good, but tasted amazing. The food came out reasonably quickly despite the pub being very full and the staff were friendly and attentive. All in all, a great experience and highly recommended.

The people were lovely and they allow dogs inside which is much appreciated. The food took a while to come...a bit too long a wait for us..I think the mains came after about 40 minutes...the garlic bread and cheese is yummy! The ploughman's was not as generous as I have had it before (for a similar price). The portions of chips were generous but sadly without much taste. It's got a lovely spot and has a good vibe and as I say the staff are lovely.

I cannot praise The Lifeboat restaurant highly enough. My family ate there recently on two consecutive evenings and our experience can be summed up as follows: the food was well presented and beautifully cooked, the service was attentive but not rushed and the restaurant was wonderfully relaxed. Added to which the decor is lovely and the setting with its views of the marina, superb. We can’t wait to return!

The Lifeboat has two carparks, one either side of the building. They are not very big but the second one has two disabled spaces next to the ramp up into their decked outside area. The decked area is lovely, loads of seating and it looks out onto the marina, so a great place to sit on a nice day. Inside there is a flat entrance way that can easily fit a wheelchair through. It does get busy and so booking is definitely recommended and I would let them know in advance if someone is in a wheelchair as not all of the seating/tables would be easy to access. They also attract a lot of yachts people as they are right by the marina and so during the summer season, inside and outside will be busy. There is a disabled toilet at the far end of the dining room, it is not with the other toilets, but is easy to find. The menu is varied and seasonal, with some great dishes on it. Everything we have had has been delicious and reasonably priced. They also have a daily specials board, which has some lovely dishes on it too. Definitely recommend giving them a try.
