The room is decent, but the bed isn't very comfortable and it's a little noisy. Had difficulty sleeping, to be honest. However, I'm really pleased the room came with free wifi, a small TV, a kettle, mugs (and a choice of Nescafe Coffee or PG Tips). It also had mini bottles of shower gel and towels handy. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast! For a fixed total of £7, there was so much on offer! You could help yourself to cereal, muffins, chocolate bars, jugs of orange juice, tea, coffee, toast, and a fried breakfast (and yes, there's a vegan option). The lady who served us the breakfast was also super lovely and very welcoming. She gave us a few recommendations of what we could do on our holiday, which was very kind. The hotel is also located next to the Pier, which is very convenient. Overall, it's a decent 3-star hotel, just don't expect the best nights sleep.

I read some reviews & thought, there's a lot of miserable people out there it can't be that bad? OOPS massive mistake. Booked two nights thankfully there was a train strike so only stayed one YAY. Water-stained smelly bed & bedding, cracked sink, dirty door-walls-ceiling. torn wallpaper. unfinished carpeting, toilet & shower (water pressure pathetic) so small I thought it was a cupboard - smelt of used tampons. no battery cover on tv remote, kettle riddled with limescale, thankfully they only supply enough milk for one cuppa, shaver light didn't work. musty smell on the stairs. stairs-landings-rooms floorboards all creak. front door used through the night slams shut. TV's on in some rooms, snoring in others, (? how could they sleep) all doors noisy to open & close. Wi-Fi password didn't work, cheap soap dried and cracked hands immediately, totally frozen during the night, heating comes on about 5am, bedside light controls are behind the headboard. shades are black so not worth using. lift working but needs a bloody good clean. The noise from the unused fairground drones on all night as well. How can they call this a hotel, it's like a prison all I wanted to do was escape. I couldn't wait to get home for a shower & put my smelly clothes in the wash. come back Butlins Clacton needs you it's a lovely area, too good for the Langtry.

Me and my Mrs stayed here for the night as a last minute break away and escape from the kids for the night, we pulled up and the hotel by far wasn't the worst we saw driving up, we managed to park right outside the hotel, went in and spoke to the young lad behind the desk, he was pleasant and quite helpful, signed in and got the key and made out way to the top floor where he said our room was, opened up the room and was quite pleasantly surprised, the room smelt quite nice and wasn't a bad size, side window looking out to see and an opening big window, bathroom was a bit compact but was ok and done the job, had a walk around town, went and had some dinner and a few games of pool and crazy golf on the pier, went back to the room and had a really good night sleep, bed was comfy and woke up to the sound of seagulls serenading us outside, shower was small but perfectly ok for what we needed, we had planned on having a walk before heading off home and was told we can leave the car out front until 2 when the next lot of ppl should be showing up, all in all was a very pleasant stay, was it the Hilton or Savoy? No, but then we didn't pay for that or expect that when we got there, for a cheap night away we would definitely stay again, thank you and see you again soon.

Dirty bedding, looks like dried blood. Reception said it must of been something on my trousers and wouldn't change it, even though I showed other stains. Volume down button doesn't work on remote so have to use the tv itself, meaning getting up. Blind doesn't go all the way down, so light gets in. Heating turns off at about 10 and not on until 6, so room is very cold at night and corridor always cold. Noise from banging doors, keys being used to open and lock rooms. Can hear tv's and other guests and loud creaking floors Dark in main landing and me and another guest almost walked into each other at 10pm Shower is hot but not alot of pressure Only 6 parking spaces for 27 rooms Old dated furniture Only positive is the location. I have stayed in alot of hotels and b and b's. This is the WORST PLACE I EVER STAYED. AVOID AVOID AVOID. it's not worth the money ,even when on offer.

Apart from the toilet being a bit out of reach but the basin was in the way or was it going to collapse because of the position it was in. The shower was nice except that it was a bit high for me being lame with my disability
