Stopped in a couple of these spoons hotels now as we enjoy the space for a little price. Great room go as far as to say it’s been one of the best Iv stopped in for £62, bath and a shower king size bed for us and a double for my son. Food is the standard weatherspoons food not going to go to much into that as we all know what that’s like. But for the price cannot fault it one bit. Staff were helpful and attentive. There was an incident going on from the previous night which was a nightmare for us having to walk around. Staff were great with directions.

One of the best weherspoons I've been too. Highly recommend it. Only downfall local rugby team turned up and ruined the evening. People walked out as they were just being very loud. Food was lovely and well priced. Good location too. And can stay there which is great.

We celebrated my wife's 50th birthday this weekend. 33 in our group the team had their hands full. The team delivered in a calm manner and our food was spot on. Some of our group stayed there and were delighted with their Rooms. A big thank you to all the team at the kings head. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Unfortunately, as someone who has had some excellent experiences at Wetherspoons around the country, The Kings Head fell well below the usual standards. The ale options were very limited, including only one off-colour semi-local beer. The food was OK but the detail could have been better but least impressive, although the staff tried hard and were pleasant they were woefully ill informed about the products they were selling. This may have been one unfortunate night but as someone who does not usually post negative comments I encourage people who have had better experience to post their comments in balance to mine.

I have used the Kings Head Bar many times on visits to Monmouth and have never been disappointed. Today’s visit was extremely poor, two steak meals were ordered, the steak was nothing but grizzle and the chips tasted like they had been fried in stale oil. The texture of chips were mulch and deep brown in colour. The toilets were not up to Whethspoons standard of cleanliness. The state of the toilets reflected more on the clientele than staff being negligent in their duties related to cleaning.
