Ian Robb5 StarHave always got my fish and chips from Kings Fish Bar and when we found out there had been a change of ownership were a bit unsure about whether it would be the same. Well I have to say it was just as good, if not better, than before. The fish was a really good size and delicious and the chips were great. Hollie Bradford1 StarI’ve been coming to this shop for 6 months or so but over time I have seen the staff get treated worse and worse. The only good thing about the shop is the young girl who usually serves us and chats to us but today she was just taking phone orders and when I asked her why she wasn’t serving she said that the owners want to do it now, this is a bad choice on their part as she made the whole experience nicer and actually chats to customers. Last week I ordered a cod and chips and had to wait 23 minutes on a Thursday when it wasn’t even too busy and today when I went in there they had put the prices up again for the second time in 5 weeks!! It’s safe to say we will not be coming back and not recommending this service to anyone else!Friday 1st April 2022
Mark Slade1 StarWas the best Fish & Chips in town for years. Since it recently changed hands, absolutely awful. New owners insist on wrapping the fish separately to the chips. Everything undercooked, bland and dripping in oil. 4 people behind the counter and not one person with a clue as to how it was/should be done, probably not their fault as they are following orders. Such a shame. Eaten there twice, (benefit of the doubt) never again. Trust me, avoid...Saturday 19th March 2022
