The Horse and Groom has recently reopened under new ownership. Popped in today for a Saturday afternoon quick pint and I can honestly say Wow! The first thing I noticed on the way in was the collection of home made cakes on offer (I can definitely recommend the carrot cake 😋). The owners and staff are just lovely. The decor is beautiful, everywhere I looked something else caught my eye. The atmosphere was so 'traditional', something that has been lacking in so many pubs for so long. Only popped in for one with the family... Three drinks later... 😊. Will definitely be back on our next visit to Rollesby.

Friendly welcome. One tasty real ale on. Pizza only food option at the moment apart from a cake selection. Dog friendly. Large car park. Unusual wood and resin design of the bar top in fact the whole place can be described as quirky. Worth a visit.

Been a few times to The Horse and Groom. Never been disappointed yet Ok, you might have a little wait for food, but not long, and well worth it. Staff are first rate. Nothing is to much trouble. Dog friendly. Give it a go. Support a local business.

Stayed 2 nights in the hotel. Just came back last night. There was a 50th birthday going on in a seperate room next to the pub whilst I was having drinks and although I wasn't part of that celebration....I felt like I was and I had a bloody great last night. Everyone was doing shots and the poor bar staff were rushed off their feet. They even ran out of alcohol as they couldn't keep up with us alcoholics...lol. Think they'll be very well prepared next time as don't think they ever expected to do so ma ny 'Baby Guiness's' 🤣🤪😉 among other drinks and cocktails 😉 😜 I never wanted to leave. It was also my birthday week and this was the best birthday I've probably had in a very long time. My family surprised me with booking this hotel for me for my birthday and even decorated the room for me. The owner was soooo lovely and let them. She even let me have my dog stay and have my dog in the bar area just not in the restaurant where food is prepared. The owner and staff are AMAZING!!! Also, you need to try the owners food!!! She makes the best everything from scratch. Nothing that I've seen is store bought. She makes homemade cakes, coleslaw (which is FAB), Garlic Mushrooms etc. They also dress up when it's special occasions and make the most of events. They have a psychic event coming up also which I wish I could've stayed longer to go to as looks like it would be good. Anyway...I've waffled enough. If you don't want to stay in the hotel....pay a visit to the bar, bring your dog and try their food...you won't regret it. Lovely staff!!! Thankyou for the best couple of days away xxxx

Been many times now, food selection is growing. Open daily also now. Food is on till 2000 ish, staff and owners do all they can to make your visit relaxing, tasty and hassle free. They also listened to my endless dribble... lol. Will visit again.
