Very nice pub situated with good views. Staff were friendly and even warned me of the low ceilings. The food is very well priced and the decor is also good.

Very nice place, me and my girlfriend loved the food. Very tasty and decent sized portions for your money. I had a Sunday roast with lamb and it was so tender, my girlfriend had cheese and onion pie and it was very nice also.

We rang to book a table for two. We were told a table would be available in half an hour to an hour. Following instructions we arrived, only to be told we've stopped serving food. After explaining and checking with the chef, we were able to order food and drinks. Twenty minutes later, tables occupied by people who arrived after us got food and drinks. On mentioning our drinks hadn't arrived, one drink was brought to our table. Fifteen minutes later I was still waiting for mine. I asked again and was told oh yes, I'll make it now. Unfortunately by this time the other member of our party lost all patience, left his drink and walked out. I'd rather have dealt with it, but I'm guessing we'd still be there waiting for our meals had I tried. We went down the road to a very busy Grey Mare. We had drinks and meals in less time, which we enjoyed. I think if you're a regular to the Holden Arms the service is good. Staff need to reflect on the idea that new customers become regulars if the experience is good. We will become regulars at the Grey Mare, probably not at the Holden Arms.

This pub is just a little gem in haslingden, the food was incredible! The staff are lovely & there was a ukele band playing when we came which was lovely! If u can, call or contact to book ahead to make sure they have a space, but they managed to squeeze us in. Absolutely our new favorite, the burgers are next level! An absolute must 👍
