Valerie Geary5 StarMy daughter and I had an excellent lunch yesterday at The Hedgehog. We were served efficiently and promptly by Katie. The food was of high quality, very tasty and imaginatively presented. I had tasty fish finger wrap and blackcurrant and vanilla sorbet. My daughter had root vegetable wrap and white chocolate and raspberry wrap. We will return soon. Thank you Katie and all the staff.Friday 13th May 2022
Notes Maloney5 StarUpdated 16.7.21....Still great. We would highly recommend The Hedgehog. Service is attentive without being intrusive and food is of very good quality. We don't live locally and have brought in our elderly friend who does live locally. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff are working incredibly hard on what is a very hot and sunny day. We ate inside as didn't want to download the app but that wasn't a problem. Mushrooms starters and chicken forestiere, squid starter, sea bass and prawn skewer all fabulous. Well done all.
2018..Excellent service and food. Our second visit, as we are not local. Plenty of choice on the menu. Friendly and helpful staff. Attentive but not intrusive. Reid in particularly was very good and efficient, noticing the little things that make a difference to the eating out experience. Karen Bishop5 StarSecond time ive been to Hedgehog. Lovely place atmosphere great! Staff helpful and friendly. Food fabulous. I tried to book for Christmas in September but they fully booked. Well there was a few of us will def think to book early next year!Sunday 24th October 2021
Mary Hamer3 StarI had lunch here today and although I'm aware the chimneys were being swept so the open fires were not lit until later it was apparent that the radiators were not on. Considering it was a very cold day I felt the atmosphere was not all that welcoming. I also had an issue with my choice of main course which was fishcakes the size of which was more befitting to a starter than a main although the taste and presentation was very goodThursday 6th January 2022
John Young5 StarThoroughly enjoyable visit. Excellent service by a friendly waitress who was welcoming, helpful and humorous. The meals we chose were very enjoyable too. Clean, comfortable eating area, well-maintained loos.
For the benefit of drivers approaching The Hedgehog from the road opposite your exit - so being confronted with the No Entry signs - it would be helpful if you installed a sign directing them to the entrance: they need to turn left. I guessed wrong and turned right and had to find somewhere to turn around, come back and look for the entrance myself.Thursday 5th May 2022
