As a British Army soldier(now retired), I spent 22 years serving with the Queen’s Gurkha Signals/Royal Signals and being around with groups of trusted people gathering life experiences. Those years taught me the value of Society and Culture and to this day it remains a very important aspect of my life. After my retirement, I served in the Army Reserve for 5 years whilst also being an active member of the Gurung Samaj, British Gurkha Veterans and Nepalese Community in Nuneaton.
In October 2020, I along with my brother-in-law, Yubraj Gurung, took the reins in the Gurkha Corner, determined to run the bar with a touch of Nepalese culture and hospitality. We opened amidst a very difficult time, an unprecedented pandemic, but the overwhelming support from families and friends has encouraged us to work harder to provide a warm venue for the Nuneaton community. We aim to facilitate social gatherings and events and make your special moments even more memorable. We are a family run business and customers’ satisfaction remain our utmost priority.
