Came for lunch with a friend and were met with two very unfriendly and rude staff. Off hand when they were serving us, told us they were fully booked and no point coming as they’re very popular unless you book. However she eventually found us a small table for two for which we were grateful. We wanted a drink first but we’re told to order immediately as we’d have a long wait for our food with them expecting lots of people. We did this and the rudeness carried on!!!! At one point my friend was told to move along on her seat as she would be in the way of the people on the next table when they arrived. The whole time we were there only four people arrived for a table and no one occupied the table next to us. It was the same until it closed when we left!!! What was that all about???? I have never felt so unwelcome anywhere. We’ve been coming for at least 35 years but won’t be coming again and warning all our friends to give it a miss. Shocking. The good was ok.

Enjoyed a light lunch here, which was lovely, homemade chips were the best ever. Children's menu good too. Staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful and polite. They also have a lovely child friendly garden in well kept geounds, with ample parking. A really pleasant visit, I would highly recommend a visit 👍🏻

I only stopped for a quick pint, which ended up being two pints. That was quite alright with me because I was leaving the country the following day. However, this place holds sweet memories for my wife - remembering her parents loved to come visit. It has a nice garden and the staff were friendly.

First time here and would return. Good choices on the menu, all very reasonably priced. Food was lovely - tasty and hot. Beautiful setting, with plenty of parking. If you're looking for good Pub Food - give The Golden Cup a try.

Nice garden with lots of seating. If its a sunny day worth a visit. Beer range fairly broad. We didn't eat here so cannot comment.
