Outstanding natural beauty, literary and arts heaven, hiking and biking fun or just peace, quiet & a relaxed stay with hosts that care.

This is the perfect start to your weekend away. Business or pleasure. Adventure or relaxing, this is a great place to explore the stunning local area, the history, the Lord of the Rings stories and more!

We can't wait to welcome you to our wonderful accommodation.

The accommodation is in a large country cottage which has one large bedroom that will cater for 2 adults and up two two children.

It has a spacious en suite with a large shower.

It also private access to a roof top garden terrace overlooking open countryside.

A very spacious and well equipped  room with TV, Video recorder/player, coffee and tea making facilities etc.

We provide home cooked breakfast using local produce and can cater for special diets i.e. Gluten free.

There is excellent walking from the doorstep and also mountain biking on the local fell.

We are located in the Ribble valley an area of outstanding natural beauty and only 5 mins. walk to Stonyhurst College which is set in beautiful grounds and offers tours to explore the buildings and artefacts during summer months. Cromwell stayed at Stonyhurst and you can see the very place he reportedly slept!

Hurst Green is a small village with two very picturesque pubs within walking distance and both provide food in either the restaurant or bar areas.

We are also close to a variety of other local restaurants within a short drive.

Ten mins. drive will see you in the market town of Clitheroe or Whalley with rail links to Manchester. Clitheroe has art galleries and a castle along with boutique shops, the most amazing wine shop and cafe's.

Whalley also has a number of boutique shops, cafe's and wine bars.

A slightly longer 30 min. drive will take you to two of the voted best pubs in the country. Located in the River Hodder valley ' The Inn at Whitewell ' ( the Queens favourite) in the Duchy of Lancaster or the Asheton Arms at the base of Pendle Hill in Downham of 'Whistle Down the Wind' fame. Both have excellent restaurants.

We pride ourselves on the very warm welcome that you will receive from your friendly hosts who have extensive knowledge of walks in and around Hurst Green who can provide maps and directions if required. We are often praised on our ability to not be like a B and B but a very exclusive boutique hotel, so we are available or give you your space as you wish.

We also have plenty of parking space at the side of the house and can provide secure storage for bikes.

Mary and I were delighted at the accommodation and pleasantly surprised when we discovered the price. The house is situated near the middle of Hurst Green and is an excellent starting point for exploring the area. It is close to two pubs and the village tea shop. The roof top terrace has stunning views of the beautiful surrounding countryside and the owners could not be more pleasant or helpful. We will certainly be returning before too long.
