About Us

The Finch Hatton is a quiet country retreat steeped in history and full of character, in the heart of Lincolnshire.
We believe in doing the simple things brilliantly. From a sincere greeting and crafting your drink just the way you like it, to perfecting your bed with the finest linen. It’s the detail that really stays with you.

The Finch Hatton Arms boasts two restaurants with seating up to 100 people, making it an ideal venue for any party, large or small. There is a choice of table d’hote, A la Carte menu or specials available, using high quality produce that is sourced locally, to ensure a fine dining experience.

The property was previously used as a hunting lodge by Denys Finch Hatton; his love affair with Baroness Karen Blixen was portrayed by Robert Redford and Meryl Streep in the 1985 Oscar winning film ‘Out of Africa’.

My wife and I just spent the w/e (Mother’s Day) at this lovely place out in the country lanes. The room was perfect bright and clean, the food was excellent, breakfast/ evening meal/Sunday lunch plenty of choice. The staff were friendly, helpful. The venue itself is homely warm with character a lovely atmosphere. All in all a great place to be. Thank you Finch Hatton for a great time. ❤️

First time at this venue and booked based on the website without. Glad we did, we booked for a table of 15 to celebrate a birthday - the food was first class, very impressive. Staff were welcoming and attentive, we’ll definitely return. Thank you for a great celebration!

What a lovely pub. Cosy, open fire and nicely decorated, traditional and tasteful. Friendly staff and good service. Great atmosphere. Food is excellent and fairly priced. Good choice and variety on the menu. Sunday lunch is especially nice. There is a restaurant as well as the bar. Well behaved dogs are allowed in the bar. There are plenty of parking spaces. There is a room that can be used for private functions.

Fabulous pub with good food and a real fire. My fillet steak was cooked perfectly and the hand cut chips were delicious as was the gratin potato. Great staff and very friendly locals!

Went there this evening with the family. The food is REVOLTING. Who puts rosemary and thyme on chips? No kids menu, greasy pizza, service was ok. Overall I’m sure it’s nice to stay there but the food was DISGUSTING. Plus it was £71 for just a main meal. VERY expensive and like I say the food was just HORRIBLE. A V O I D.
