A pub for quality time. A stopping place. Somewhere to slow down, unwind and sip wine with friends and family. Meet, eat, drink and chat.

So, the menu? Legendary pub classics, with delightfully fresh modern twists, naughty nibbles to mighty mains. An anthology of expertly crafted cask ales adorn the bar, juggling with expertly distilled gins, velvety reds, crisp whites and soft pinks.

Take Sundays slowly, with a resplendent spread brought to you from fields and farms across the country. Meats roasted low, perfectly paired with seasonal veg are at the heart of our ‘Slow Sundays’ which celebrates the flavours, family and friends with that long-standing tradition, the Sunday Roast.

But we’re not always about taking it slow. Less time to spare? Pop in for a week day lunch or a quiet moment with a pint or even a coffee. We are dog friendly in our bar areas only.

After all, this is your local, for time on your terms.

Going to start with the positives They have done a great job on the refurb. The staff were very friendly and you could tell they are trying hard to impress since reopening. I also enjoyed my cinnamon swirl bread and butter pudding. Now for the negative Upon sitting down we were reeled off a long list of food that wasn't available only to find out the options we did pick were also not available. The burger as you can see was the size of a McDonald's happy meal burger and the linguine wasn't that much bigger. We repeatedly had to ask for our water as it seemed to be forgotten on numerous occasions. Last but no least my Irish coffee was served with nothing Irish about it. Like the water it seemed to be forgotten. To conclude I wouldn't recommend to others as there are better options about.

We had a nice impromptu lunch this afternoon. Sat outside so the kids could play in the small play area. The food was reasonably priced, the staff all friendly and I really liked the cute little touches at the bar (see pics). The food wasn't anything special but it was nice enough and the basic sort of pub lunch we were after! The anti pasti platter we shared for starters was very nice. We had club sandwiches for mains, which were on huge slaps of bread but the chicken breast was a little overcooked! We'd go back if we were in the area and needed a quick bite and beer whilst the kids ran around!

Had a great evening at The Fields. We were served by Kayleigh and she made sure we had the best time possible. She was friendly, bubbly and went along with our little jokes. Thank you for a lovely evening Kayleigh! ❤️

Really nice and cosy restaurant. Friendly staff. Food was also very good and so was the service. Prices are very reasonable. Salt & Pepper calamari were very tasty. Would definitely recommend!

WOW WOW WOW! what an amazing place. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is lovely and they have thought so hard about all the little things you may want: Chargers you can borrow Board games for the kids (and adults: see picture 😂) Food bowls, treats and blankets for your furry friends (allowed indoors on the hard floor area) Blankets for you to borrow when you go outside Reading glasses to help you see the menu. An open fire (safety covered) A really thoughtful place with helpful, attentive staff, a lovely outdoor play area. Just everything you could want! My first visit blew me away so can’t wait to come back. Great job guys!
