Russ Wyld5 StarA cracking pub a short walk from the town centre. Interesting interior, great range of beers and well prepared food. Table service and order off your phone too.
Been back again twice now and can report it is consistently good. The food was excellent, try the Chicken and Chorizo skewers 😋 also previously had the sausage and mash and it's possibly the tastiest I've had, and a good choice of beers / wine etcFriday 27th May 2022
Julie Erdmann1 StarWe had Sunday roast today and I was not impressed. The Yorkshire pudding was burnt and hollow. The chicken was dry. Its the worst Sunday roast I have ever eaten. This pub need to employ a real chef and stop using students to cook the food. If your stomach is a hole that needs filling go and eat at this pub. The students employed to service customers were friendly but they need to remove the student from the kitchen and employ a real chef. Shame on the pub for using cheap labour.Sunday 7th August 2022

Usually not great for food imo, you wait a lot for every kind of food, plus I an from Italy so not a big fan in general of their menu. But again, perfect pub to have a drink and east some starters to share with your friends...you will just have to wait a bit! Great space, nice decor, good outdoor area, fantastic selection of reasonably priced drinks and consistently delicious food. What more could you ask for?
