What a beautiful pub. So much charm and character and very clean and tidy. The staff were amazing so warm and welcoming. The range of drinks is amazing especially the cask ale so much to choose from. The food was outstanding I had the chicken and bacon and salad and was delicious. The burgers looks really nice. Highly recommend if your in the area

Nice friendly pub, the food served was all good, had the prawn and calamari as a starter to share and the bacon and cheese burger and the smokey brisket burger. Starter was delicious beautifully cooked, the mains where a bit lack luster hence the 4 stars , the burgers where over done in my opinion they wernt bad just dry both of them but the brisket in the brisket burger was juicy and delicious. The drinks where also lovely had soft drinks around 6 in total and 2 cocktails , the night cost around £60.

What a gem of a pub. Massive range of delicious cask ale. The food was hot and delicious. Lovely little outdoor area with an added bonus of a TV. Came in for football and the atmosphere was amazing. Stayed for the live music and everyone was up dancing great to see. The staff re so friendly nd welcoming. Highly recommend

The Dolphin on High Street, Old Portsmouth is the oldest pub in Portsmouth. It also has the unenviable reputation of being the most expensive pub in Portsmouth. £4.95 per pint for cask bitter. The food is good but fish & chips is no longer on the menu. The scampi & chips is £10.45 and was tasty and well presented. I only visit The Dolphin twice a year but if I lived in Portsmouth, I couldn't afford to drink there, on a regular basis.
