The Gissing Crown is an excellent place to go for drinks, food, both or neither. Either way, it's got a superb atmosphere, lovely people all round. Staff is great, Chef is exceedingly friendly and a great chef at that. The food's always been lovely here, I don't think I've had a genuine complaint in years. The drinks are reasonably well priced and the atmosphere has never been a dull moment. Plenty of outside seating area's for the hotter weather and plenty indoors for the winter. Highly recommend this place, it's worth travelling too even if you don't live close!

Amazing renovation to the dining room leaving the bar area a more traditional pub setting, new chef, new menu, well worth a visit

Really friendly staff and a chef that is incredibly accommodating. Had a lovely birthday meal here. Only got the one photo, as I tucked straight into my starters and mains.

Nice little pub in the middle of no where.. when you go to visit you will be sure that you have either driven past or even in the wrong village. Find the church and your there. The pub is cosy and have a pool table in one end. Slightly dissapointly the pub doesnt serve food on a Tuesday.. the day we went. Otherwise generally its a nice place. It would be best described as a small pub which caters mainly for locals but dont let this put you off seeing it for a nice sunny day for a drink. Not too sure about live entertainment, there is certainly a possibility if they used the car park and nearby shelter.
