Recipes are wonderful. I chose two starters for dinner, each done as described and exceeded expectations. Spouse had similar experience with a Main. Portions are large so go carefully.

While staying in Winchcombe for the weekend, my husband and I went here for a meal. Good value at 2 courses for £20, the food was okay, traditional pub style and reasonable portion sizes. Staff were all friendly

I rarely write bad reviews but we were so disappointed with our meal here. We’d read such good things and had a family get together in the Cotswolds. All 6 of us plus 2 dogs went for dinner. The starters ranged, pate was good but the prawn cocktail was awful and the glass was all sticky, the spring rolls weren’t fresh and we’re like you’d get in Iceland. For mains we had 3 steaks, 2 curries and fish and chips. The steaks were well done despite being asked for medium rare and the quality wasn’t great. The curries we left, both were tasteless and chicken was chewy and overdone. The fish and chips was probably the best but again was just okay. The staff were lovely and attentive, they accommodated us last minute with the dogs but honestly the food was dreadful. We left feeling very disappointed. We won’t be returning.

Didn't eat, so can't comment on food, but really great atmosphere and good beers. Also a nice beer garden out back.
