Ok small shop doing the basics, but it doesn't stock many chilled or frozen foods & sometimes we've found well out of date food on the shelves. The store bakes some of it's own bakery items & stocks lots of alcoholic products. Also it can be a nightmare for parking (especialy at peak times) & there's only 1 disabled parking space which isn't well signposted as the road signage has faded, so non-disabled vehicles are constantly parking in the 1 & only disabled bay & dispite many users complaining about the problem over the years it still hasn't been rectified. Often there's no car park spaces left & shoppers either park in stupid & dangerous areas or on the road which can cause traffic chaos.

Recently (April 16) had a refurbish and the range of products they have available has increased considerably. They provide for gluten and dairy free products now. Still not as cheap as Sainsbury's but its convenient.

Upon my first visit to this Co-operative food store I found myself sheltering from a gang of youths who decided it would be appropriate to re-enact scenes from Apocalypse Now, shelling unpurchased stock in the dairy and dessert aisle at the unsuspecting members of staff. Caught in the crossfire and completely unaware that I had been caught between enemy lines, I was hit with a projectiled egg. The poor staff were too caught up in the bombardment to offer any aid and must have been so shell-shocked that they retreated to the confines of the stock room. Thus, my hand prepared Ceviche that evening also suffered due to a distinct lack of lemon juice as I was unable to successfully complete my purchase at said store. Sadly, little has changed since my last woeful experience and I found an understaffed store overrun with vagrant and obnoxious adolescents. A pity.

17/04/2017 - Not nice walking into a Co-Op when the "manager" is belittling the staff she is working with... my family member and I were quite shocked and thought the management skills needed to be looked into!! If something needs to be discussed I would have thought not doing that infront of customers would be obvious... otherwise it's an okay shop, little overpriced but you get what you need.
