Tucked away in Pound Street, Newbury, just off Bartholomew Street is one of Newbury's best kept secrets:- The Clothes Shop - a classically stylish ladies' boutique opened in 1985.
Ann and Debra who own the shop, instantly know what will suit an individual's shape and colouring and can recommend styles and colours customers may not have tried before.
Knowing all of their suppliers personally, Ann and Debra trust the quality of their garments and only buy clothes that are properly made from good quality fabrics that are ethically sourced.

To top it off you even recommended to us, your seamstress Sarah who was simply fantastic! Sarah not only was able to alter my mums outfit but she even saved the day when she was able to alter my wedding dress after having endless problems with my dress shop (In Swindon, not Newbury).

What a find - one hour shopping Debra showed me numerous outfits that would be suitable for the occasion and would be right for me. Dress chosen, jacket chosen and then came the hat and bag. I am confidentiality no one else at the wedding
