"Great little traditional English pub. Very friendly staff good food ( had the homemade mushroom stroganoff ) nice pint too. Have a look at the oak beams in the pub, the splits along the grains are all filled with coins that people leave from their change and when they fall out there put in a collection box to support the air ambulance. Came across this pub whilst looking for somewhere to cycle and decided to stop for lunch. Had open prawn sandwich which was very filling. Husband had gammon which he said was lovely so can recommend food. Staff very friendly. Only strange thing is pub is only open from 12pm till 2pm, not sure about evening opening hours. Needless to say it was packed. Picture is from beer garden.

Proper country pub, the food is always spot on (the goujons are amazing!) Dogs are welcome and they have a caravan park.
